When You Visit Us: What You Can Expect
We’re truly honoured to be entrusted with the care of your cherished pets. At our clinic, we believe in working together, with you and your pet every step of the way.
Here’s a little insight into what your visit with us will look like, so you feel informed and comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Before Your Appointment
You’ll receive a WhatsApp notification with your pet’s appointment date and time. For second opinion / referral cases, kindly have your current veterinarian email or WhatsApp us all relevant medical records and test results before the appointment.
This helps us plan the most efficient and informed care for your pet. Please send them to: primavet@hotmail.com or WhatsApp us directly.

Arrival Time
To help keep all appointments running smoothly, please arrive 15 minutes early. If you arrive late, it may reduce your consultation time, as we want to stay on track for the next scheduled family.
However, if no one is booked immediately after you, we’ll gladly extend your consultation where possible.
What to bring: Day of Your Appointment
For all appointments:
- Vaccination card
- Recent medical records (if available)
- A towel for your pet to sit on during the consultation
Medications & Diet:
- Any current medications your pet is taking
-
Prescription diet (if your pet is admitted) — bring enough for the duration of their stay
Note: We carry several prescription and non-prescription diets if you prefer not to bring your own.
For Boarding (optional but recommended):
- Favourite food or treats
- Comfort item (blanket or toy)
- Food and water bowls
At Your Appointment
When you arrive, your pet will be weighed and their temperature will be taken. For senior pets, blood pressure may also be checked — if they’re comfortable with it.
A full physical examination will be performed, and we’ll take a thorough history from you. Any medical records, lab work, or imaging results shared by your primary veterinarian will also be reviewed.
After the exam, the vet will explain their findings and discuss possible treatment options. Together, we’ll decide on a care plan that works best for both you and your pet.
A cost estimate will be provided for your review and approval before we proceed.
We understand how much your pet means to you — and we promise to do everything we can to ensure they feel safe, calm, and cared for. We’ll treat your beloved companion as if they were our own.
Prior to Discharge
Before your pet is discharged, a member of our medical team will go over the discharge instructions with you and answer any questions you may have. We’ll also check on your pet together and address any final concerns.
If the primary veterinarian in charge is unavailable at that moment, we’ll make note of your questions, and they will get back to you as soon as possible once they return.
We’ll also review your final invoice with you at this time.
